Better Place, ein Unternehmen, das sich die Errichtung einer Elektroauto-freundlichen Insfrastruktur als Ziel und auch Geschäftsmodell erkoren hat, hält die interessierte Öffentlichkeit mit einem beeindruckenden Video auf dem laufenden:
Lange Batterieladezeiten sind ja bekanntlich wohl das grösste Argument gegen Elektrofahrzeuge.
Der im Video vorgestellte Prototyp einer vollautomatisierten Batteriewechselstation tritt diesem Argument entgegen, man scheint man dem Ziel zumindest ein klitzekleines Stücklein näher gekommen zu sein.
Man beachte die Stoppuhr links oben im Video. Ich werde wohl nächstes mal beim Tanken genauer auf die Uhr schauen müssen.

I believe in this technology as the solution for electric cars become popular.
In this case, the car manufacture would just sell cars and the baterry would be propriety other company, which will provide the energy in form of baterry in normal tank stations.
This solution have a lot of benefits.
1. The price for car would be similar or even cheaper than current cars.
2. The battery management and investment would be done in large scale for energy provider companies.
3. The car do not lose value due to the degradation of battery.
4. The conventional tank station would be able to offer additional service, keeping their workplace and ever increasing revenues.
5. Population would be able to drive clean at acceptable cost.
6. The battery changing time would be even quickly than full fill the tank.
The only chalange in this case would be:#
-Standard baterry size and connection plugs.
-Implementation of the infrastructure
-Willing from big investors in financing the batteries.
I hope to see this kind of system as soon as possible!
